Review: Dr. Jart + Premium BB Beauty Balm

So I know BB creams are all the rage right but, many of them are glorified tinted moisturisers. I picked this Dr. Jart  BB cream travel size 2months ago at Sephora. I have been using it since then (switching between a foundation and this). So far I am in love I only have about 3 uses left and a bit bummed ( a trip to sephora is on the horizon!) I can't wait to have a full size.

The actual product only comes in one pinky beige color which makes it limited for certain demographics. My coloring is about a MAC NW 15-20 or a Makeup Forever 115. It does have an SPF 45 which I love. I have oily skin and I don't notice any slipping throughout ppt he day. I do powder this product with a translucent finishing powder. This BB cream gives me great coverage and really corrects blemishes. I really can't tell you just how awesome this product is! I would recommend this anyone wanting to try a real BB cream.

Review: Bourjois Poudre Bronzante (Powder Bronzer)

So, fist off I should say that this product isn't available in the USA ( which is totally ridiculous ). I bought mine off  www.asos.com, what's great about them is that it's free shipping and they are very quick at getting your items to you. I believe this is around 12.00$ which, is a bit pricey for a "drugstore" bronzer in my eyes. Alas,  I have wanted this particular bronzer ever since I started watching Tanya Burr on YouTube.

This bronzer suits pale/ fair skins very well. I am a loyalist when it comes to sunscreen so, I naturally have pale skin all year long. I find that this bronzer doesn't leave my skin orange or patchy. It's light enough to be built up and can just make your complexion glow. I like to apply it with a duo-fiber brush but, I do use a powder brush if I have been fake tanning. One great thing about this product is the smell! It's smells like a delicious chocolate bar and does somewhat resemble chocolate in it's packaging.

I have had it for about 6 months and I don't see that I am hitting pan anytime soon! Go to the ASOS website and check out Bourjois! I am sure you will find something your just can't live without.

Dupe Alert: MAC Lipglass Revenge Is Sweet VS. Revlon Superlusterous in Berry Allure

So, I have been on the search for a replacement of my favorite lip gloss, Revenge is Sweet by MAC, and every time it's repromoted I always miss it. I bought it when the Venomous Villains collection came out and fell in love. While I was at CVS/pharmacy the other day I spied the revlon Superlusterous new packaging and new colors promotion. Almost instantly I was pulled towards 'Berry Allure' I picked it up and thought to myself," is it really a dupe?!". I was so excited and picked it up for about 7.99$.

This is them side by side. You do get quite a lot of product with the revlon one compared to MAC. The shades in the flash photo don't look as close as they really are. It's so hard to find this magenta, purple, sheer shade and finally I think I have found an exact dupe!

Here is a swatch of the colors

If there is any difference it's that the MAC one is very slightly creamier. I do,however, prefer the Revlon one due to the fact that its not sticky on the lips like the MAC one is. But, my MAC Revenge is Sweet is about 3 years old! I know,I know it's expired but, I couldn't throw it away or use it up until I could find a proper duplicate. I hope this helps some of you out there who also like this shade!!

Review: L'Oréal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation

So, I know I just picked this product up yesterday but, I feel like I needed to post a review about it already. I have the shade classic ivory. A pro to this foundation is that it does come in multiple shades including warm.neutral, and cool tones. First off, this foundation does need shaken up and is very liquidity. That's not too bad if the bottle would have had a pump but, since it doesn't it makes it difficult to get a good amount of product out. The product itself is so light weight but, I would say it gives light to medium coverage and is very buildable. The foundation looks amazing on the skin and blends so easily with either your fingers or with a brush. I used my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I really love the finish. On me it's more of a satin finish. This foundation didn't seem to have a problem oxidizing. However, the only down fall is that about after 5-7 hours its totally gone from your face. I did set the foundation with a powder after application. The foundation does have SPF so be careful with flashback. I do like foundations with SPF and tend to gravitate towards them.

Cosmetic Shopping Trip

Hey everyone I thought I would share the items I bought today from none other than the lovely Target!    The first product is just a small packet of makeup wipes. They are the Up &Up brand and I bought them just for travel use as I am going to D.C. this week. Here's a pic!

The next product is a travel Eucerin SPF 30. I do use a an SPF everyday but, thought it would be nice to have one in my handbag for applications throughout the day. I have used Eucerin before and do like them. The current one I use on my face only comes in a bulky, heavy, glass jar. Something I wouldn't want to carry around.

Now one to the most exciting.....Makeup! This product is brand new from L 'ORÉAL. It's called 'Magic Nude Liquid Powder'. I haven't seen this anywhere else but Target so far. I got the shade 312 True Ivory and I am pretty excited to try it out. However, I do believe the packaging could have had a better design.

Now I am going to combine the last two into to one because, they are both lip balms. I purchased both the Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream Kiss and a Napoleon Perdis 'Lip Balm with  Benefits'. I have had the Nivea Lip Butters before but, I could never find this 'flavor' lol so when I saw it I immediately picked it up. The Napoleon one was a random encounter. I never really look at the PIXI, Sonia Kashuk, or Napoleon Perdis Set products but, as Target does it just gets the best of you. The Napoleon one is tinted unlike the Nivea which is a bonus but, only comes in two shades; Baja and Coral.

Review: CAUDALIÍE eau démaquillante ( cleansing water).

It seems like everyone is on a cleansing water binge these days so, I thought I would see what all the fuss is about. I did want to get the Bioderma Crealine  H2O but, I was impatient and did not want to wait on the mail. I was at Sephora and spied this little guy. I bought the 100 mL bottle but, I do believe that they had a 250 mL on as well for about 22$. I spent around 12$ on mine.

I use this product mostly at night before my cleanser. It has a light scent but I can't quite make out what it is. It's not an offensive fragrance by any means. I love this product! It doesn't leave a film on your skin nor does it dry it out. I always feel so refreshed after using this on my face. Yes, it does take of eye makeup. However, I do not wear heavy eye makeup or waterproof mascara so I am unsure as to how it would handle that. I use it on cotton rounds (2 will do my whole face). I have had my bottle for a good 3 months and I am just getting to the point where I need to repurchase.  I would highly recommend trying this product out if you are curious about cleansing waters!

Review: 100% Pure Cosmetics Black Tea Mascara

I am definitely all for organic, natural, chemical free products. So, when I heard about 100% Pure I quickly bought a handful of items. Many of them I am still using and testing out. I decide to really go for the mascara first because, it had the shortest shelf life of the products I bought.

Now, there are a few different shades of mascara but, I am boring and just got the black one. Firstly, the packaging, WOW, it came in a metal tube and felt so luxurious! It was sleek in design not bulky or wasteful like some of the mascara packaging can be. The bristles are natural not plastic which, with me is a total plus. The brush was about average size not ridiculously huge or minuscule.

On to the actual product, I really liked this mascara it volumized and separated my lashes very well. I didn't feel like I needed to put on two coats which is very nice. However, with at this greatness I was beginning to think I had found my holy grail of mascaras. It was about 10 mins after I had applied my mascara and I went through a sneezing fit. One of those kind where you literally think your head will combust. It was when this was happening I notice my lashes were wet still.... Really? After 10 mins!!! I was so upset. So sadly I will not be recommending this mascara. It's intentions are noble and great but I would really like a product that will eventually dry some what.
